Polar Bears - Animal of the Week

We are back from Christmas break! To celebrate the arrival of winter, we are starting with the Polar Bear. I found a ton of books at our local library on Polar Bears and a few DVDs as well. They are a pretty popular animal. 
Here is our fact sheet and activities for this week. 

At the library we found:
  

• Polar bears by Laura Marsh
• The practically perfect pajamas written and illustrated by Erik Brooks
• Polar bear math : learning about fractions from Klondike and Snow by Ann Whitehead Nagda and Cindy Bickel
• Little polar bear by Hans De Beer.
• The great polar bear adventure [videorecording (DVD)] 
• Arctic tale [videorecording (DVD)] 

There were also a few National Geographic Polar Bear shows on Netflix Streaming.
