Turkey - Animal of the Week

This week we are studying Turkeys! Get the facts and activities here. We will probably add another Turkey craft on our short week next week. So we will really cover this for two weeks. 

My big lil asked me today if tomorrow we could go shoot our turkey for Thanksgiving. Love the spirit but that's a big negative! But we can stop by the grocery store! <big grin>

We have really been studying a lot about Pilgrims in reading and history this month so I think he'll find it interesting about how many turkeys were here during the time of the Pilgrims. I, myself, have been caught in quite a rafter of Turkeys while driving. Their numbers are increasing, which is good because they taste really good.
